Marsha Stone is the Chief Executive Officer for BRC Recovery and the founder of Spearhead Lodge, directing and overseeing all programs in the BRC Recovery family of companies. She is an active member of the recovery community, providing help and hope through her own experience, as a seasoned speaker on local and national levels. Marsha is able to integrate her own battle with and triumph over addiction to helping others who are struggling with addictive disorders. Marsha holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and received her Juris Doctorate in 1999, with the distinction of Academic Excellence. Her background in business and law, combined with her dedication to providing the most effective and quality rehabilitative process possible, positions her to provide the leadership necessary for the advancement of Spearhead Lodge as the premier recovery center for young adults.
Lane Rust is the Executive Director of Spearhead Lodge. In this role he mentors clients, leads groups, and oversees the daily operations of the program. Lane was instrumental in launching the Spearhead Lodge program. His enthusiasm and dedication to the recovery process is integral to the culture of Spearhead Lodge. Lane has worked in the recovery field since 2010 when he began his career as a Recovery Manager. He is licensed as an LCDC-I in the state of Texas. Lane’s personal interests include playing golf, spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Alex Penrod is a Recovery Manager at Spearhead Lodge, BRC Recovery’s latest addition to their wide range of services. He is an active member of the recovery community and felt a calling to take on a professional role in the fight against addiction. Alex holds an AAS Degree in Addiction Counseling and an LCDC-I in the state of Texas. He is able to combine his personal experience gained through his own recovery process with the knowledge he gained through the study of addiction. Alex found that the key to healing his own addiction was helping others in recovery. He continually strives to become more effective and informed in order to help transform the lives of those struggling with addictive disorders.
Patrick McNamee is the Director of Admissions for Spearhead Lodge interfacing with staff and families from across the country. His expertise in customer service and knowledge of recovery creates a smooth transition from their communities to our recovery center. Patrick has worked in the chemical dependency field for six years. Prior to his current position, Patrick has worked in the recovery field as a Resident Care Associate and Alumni Coordinator. Patrick holds a B.A. in history from Angelo State University and has worked as a secondary geography teacher. He is passionate about working with families and helping others recover. In his private life, Patrick enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and collecting antiques.
Amanda K. (Mandy) Baker, MS, LCDC is the clinical director at Spearhead Lodge, overseeing all clinical services. She is also the co-founder and Clinical Director of Windhaven Counseling Center. She is the former Vice President of Clinical Services at Origins Recovery Centers, where she oversaw five levels of care in four facilities. She has also held positions The Ranch at Dove Tree, and Texas Tech Center for Students in Recovery. At Texas Tech, Mandy and her team were instrumental in developing the recovery campus movement, which has significantly impacted the ways in which colleges address addiction. Her experience working with young people and helping them to find recovery makes her an ideal person to be running clinical operations at Spearhead Lodge.
Veronica Pike, FNP-C earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas. With experience in neurology, oncology, trauma, and medical-surgical nursing, Ms. Pike has a keen interest in healthcare across the lifespan, including alternative/preventative medicine, health promotion, chronic disease management, and nutrition. Founder of Med 2 You, a home visit-based healthcare practice in Austin, Texas, Veronica is also currently a professor of nursing at ACC. She was a Division I collegiate basketball player, and is now an accomplished Crossfit athlete.
